Board Certified Behaviour Analyst
Registered Clinical Counsellor
(she/her)
Hello, my name is Kaitlan, I am a Behaviour Consultant/Analyst and Counsellor based in Burnaby, BC. I started my career by supporting individuals with autism and other neurodiverse populations in 2011. During this time, I completed my Master’s of Science in Applied Behaviour Analysis from St. Cloud State University in 2019. Following this, I became a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) in 2020. Following this, I decided to continue my education and completed additional course work and training in the field of mental health. I am currently on the registered autism service providers list (RASP list) in British Columbia and hold BCACC accreditation as a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC).
Throughout my career, I have worked with individuals from the ages of 12 months and up in a variety of capacities, as an independent service provider. During this time, I have supervised early intensive behaviour intervention (EIBI) programs, provided school-based consultation and training, presented for schools and non-profit organisations, ran social skills groups for preteens, held parent coaching sessions, and have provided 1:1 counselling sessions.
Within my practice, I am passionate about providing behavioural analytic services that place an emphasis on individualised, manageable, and meaningful goals for the children and the families I support. My approach is routed in evidence-based research alongside a family-centred practice. It is important to me to include the different members of the individual’s life to provide well rounded, collaborative, and meaningful goals and recommendations.
Within my work as a counsellor, I focus on providing parenting support, services for children and teens, and women's mental health.
