  • How many counselling sessions will myself or my child need?
    This is unique to everyone's situation and not a simple answer. Please feel free to bring this question up to your counsellor in the initial or subsequent sessions. Ongoing discussions around how often sessions should occur and how long to continue are consistently taken into consideration.
  • Is counselling confidential?
    Yes everything an individual 12 and above shares within session is confidential except in certain situations If you or anyone else is at imminent risk of harm. If a child or vulnerable adult is at risk or is being abused or neglected. If ordered by law in a court of subpoena. If you provide written consent allowing confidential information to be shared.
  • Is counselling covered by extended medical?
    Most extended medical plans cover therapy provided by a registered clinical counsellor (RCC). Please be sure to check with your plan before scheduling your initial session. Once you receive your session receipt you can submit this to your plan for reimbursement.
  • What forms of payment do you accept?
    E-transfer Cheque Credit Card Autism Funding Unit (AFU)
  • How long are sessions?
    Typically sessions are 50 or 75 minutes in duration. In certain situations, longer or shorter appointments can be arranged. Please connect with your counsellor for more information on session duration.
  • How much are session rates?
    $150 or $225 depending on the session length.
